Frequently asked questions
How do you play the supply chain game?
You run a warehouse for 12 weeks. Each week you see the demand and the stock on hand, then pick one of three replenishment levels. The model fills what it can, records any shortfall and draws the stock level on the chart.
What is the goal?
Fill every order while keeping as little leftover stock as possible. The score weights the fill rate at 70 percent and stock efficiency at 30 percent, so both matter.
How is my result scored?
A score of 90 or more is S, 80 and up is A, 70 and up is B, and below that is C. The end screen also shows your total purchase cost and how many weeks you fell short.
Is this a real supply chain tool?
No. It is a heavily simplified teaching model that shows how ordering, demand and inventory interact. It is not a planning or financial tool.
